  • The Adventures of Don Diggly is a twelve-month educational subscription service. Subscribers may choose from three different subscriptions: Base Camp (monthly); Galactic (bimonthly); and Universal (bimonthly). We also offer a Trial Example of what to expect (one time mailing); and additional add-ons for yearly subscribers. Subscribers have the option to pay every six months or to pay yearly. Subscriptions do NOT automatically renew.

    In addition to subscriptions, we sell AODD merchandise in our shop.

  • Funny you should ask that. The short answer: Kind of. The not-so-short answer: While working on the first book in my middle grade sci-fi series (inspired by my son)—The Invasion of Captain Stinky and His Legion of Llamas—I kept hearing the same thing from industry pros: You need to be on social media! Apparently, having a following can help you get published. The problem? I’m not exactly a fan of social media. Instagram? Nope. (Well, that’s about to change; wish me luck!)

    Anyway, while brainstorming how to introduce my quirky cast of characters to the world, I had an “aha!” moment. What if I launched a subscription service that wasn’t just about the books—but a playful mashup of imagination, fiction, and STEM-packed educational fun? And just like that, The Adventures of Don Diggly was born. 

    There are lots of easter eggs and nods to the book series strewn throughout the materials; see if you can spot any. It’s been a blast bringing these stories (and science!) to life. So, come join the adventure!

  • The Adventures of Don Diggly is geared towards ages 8-14; however, the content included in each subscription is designed to pique the interest of all ages. We want families, friends, school groups, and alien cohorts, to enjoy reading, discovering, and participating in the suggested activities together. It’s our goal to create opportunities for open dialogue about life, the universe, and everything in between!

  • Start by choosing your subscription and selecting either a six-month or yearly payment option. Once you place your order, we’ll send out your Welcome Box — please allow 2–4 weeks for delivery.

    After that, your adventure begins! Each month, you’ll receive a new Mission Folder delivered straight to your mailbox — 12 in total over the course of your subscription.

    If you choose a Galactic or Universal subscription, you’ll also receive a bonus mailing during the last two weeks of each month — for a grand total of 24 deliveries a year!

    Subscriptions do NOT renew automatically.  

    Subscription Length & Renewal
    If you choose the six-month payment option, your subscription will end six months after your initial sign-up. You’ll receive two reminder emails — one month and two weeks before it ends — giving you the chance to renew. If you do, your subscription will pick up right where it left off, ensuring you receive all 12 unique Mission Folders (no repeats!).

    If you choose the yearly subscription, it will end twelve months after your sign-up. You’ll receive a reminder email before it expires with the option to renew and keep the adventure going.

  • Each yearly subscription includes one Welcome Box full of items to help young explorers prepare for their adventures; twelve (12) bright orange mission folders with monthly mission themed contents which are delivered (one per month totaling 12 over the course of 12 months) via USPS right to your mailbox; Galactic and Universal subscriptions will receive a second mailing of additional materials delivered two-weeks after they receive their mission folder.

  • We offer three additional opportunities for cadets who want to delve deeper into space: A Passport to the Solar System; A Collection of Constellations; and the Oh my Stars and Critters! Sticker Club. 

    Upon purchase each cadet will receive their initial Add-On (Passport Book, Constellation Book, or Sticker Pack); subsequent material such as monthly cancellation stamps, stickers, etc. will be included with each month’s mission folder. 

    At this time, Add-Ons are only available for purchase with a yearly subscription.

  • That’s an affirmative! When checking out there will be an option to let us know it’s a gift, tell us the recipient’s name, and write a brief message.

  • Yes! And, no. We do not offer a one-month subscription. But we do have a TRIAL option. This is a one-time payment for a one-time mailing of an example mission folder. The TRIAL option does NOT include a Welcome Box. But it does include examples of all the fun stuff you would receive in a Base Camp monthly subscription. To avoid redundancy, examples are created specifically for the trial folder and do not include content from bimonthly subscriptions.  We hope you will love it and want to join our adventure.

  • Thank you! We are excited to have you join our voyage! We understand waiting is hard. Rest assured we will do our very best to fulfill each order at light speed; however, we can’t control the space post OR the USPS. Our advice: allow at least two weeks for delivery, especially if you live outside the Continental United States. Shipping outside the USA can take six (6) to eight (8) weeks. 

    Please note: Subscriptions placed after the 15th of each month may not receive their Welcome Box until the following month; mission folders may arrive two (2) to four (4) weeks later.

  • Absolutely! But there are a few caveats. You must renew within 60 days of your subscription end date. To guarantee we send you the correct mission folders, please send an email to help@dondiggly.com. Your renewal must be for another six-month subscription. We are unable to offer a yearly renewal once your six-months ends in which you would receive the last six mission folders for the current subscription year and then continue to receive the first six mission folders for the following subscription year.

  • Yes! Your yearlong adventure begins whenever you subscribe. For example, if you subscribe in October 2025, your year one will begin October 2025 and end in October 2026. If you subscribe on 31 December, 2025 (by 11:59 PM) your Year One will still begin at that time, ending on 31 December 2026.

  • Digital downloads can be anything from a coloring page to a maze to a wordsearch to worksheets, mini ‘Test Your Knowledge’ pages, to prompts for journal entries or stories, and a plethora of other activity sheets that align with each month’s theme. Every subscription will include at least three (3) activity sheets per month. Downloads will be sent to the email on file for the subscription.

  • We’re thrilled that you like our Welcome Box. We think it’s so cool. However, the Welcome Box is part of the AODD subscription and is not available at this time to purchase separately. If you have subscribed to the AODD and have more than one cadet living in your space capsule, there are options. (See the next question.)

  • Of Course! There are two different options. One: take advantage of our family discount offered for multiple subscriptions mailed to the same address; and two: email us at help@dondiggly.com for additional information regarding one subscription containing multiple materials. Please note this option includes additional fees for each extra item, and customers will be responsible for any and all shipping and handling fees incurred due to the extra weight.

  • Absolutely! We’re all about the more the merrier!

    Families ordering three (3) or more individual subscriptions will receive a discount off their total cost. Please note: all cadets must reside at the same household. All subscriptions will be mailed to the same address. 

    Families ordering six (6) or more individual subscriptions qualify for the homeschool or classroom discount.

    Homeschool Groups/Cohorts and Traditional School Classrooms qualify for additional discounts based off of their numbers. Please email us at help@dondiggly.com for more information.

  • Here at the AODD we want to offer the opportunity of joining our adventure to as many cadets as possible. We are working through the minutia of scholarship and sponsorship opportunities and look forward to telling you more within the coming months. Click here if you would like to be notified as soon as we post all the details.

  • Oh no! Those pesky gremlins have been at it again! Please contact us within 30 days of the shipping date at help@dondiggly.com and we will do our best to correct the problem. 

    For missing mail please check with your local postal service first to see if they can help solve the mystery. If that doesn’t work, please forward the correspondence showing that USPS cannot locate the missing box or mission folder to help@dondiggly.com and we will mail you out a new one at no extra charge to you.

    Please note: It is your responsibility to make sure the shipping address is correct at the time of ordering. If your shipping address is entered incorrectly, we won’t be able to replace your items at no cost; you will be responsible for the cost of the replacement item(s), and all shipping and handling charges. 

    If something’s gone AWOL, let us know and we’ll turn the gremlins’ pockets out, and get your missing item(s) out lickety-split! (It’s one of The Don’s favorite words.)

    If something is damaged, please send a photo within 30 days of the shipping date to help@dondiggly.com and we will replace your item(s) at our discretion as fast as humanly possible.

  • Welcome boxes and mission folders are not eligible for returns or refunds. 

    However, other store items can be returned for a full refund if the items are unused, undamaged, and returned within 30 days. 

    To initiate a return, please email help@dondiggly.com. Our team of Aliens will inspect returned products upon receipt and issue refunds within 30 days to the original form of payment. Please note: All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, and return packages must be in the original packaging and include the following information: customer name, order number, and reason for return.

    Please email us for the physical return address.

  • That’s a bummer. We hope you can join us later. As long as we have not already shipped out your Welcome Box, you may contact us at help@dondiggly.com and we will cancel your subscription and give you a full refund. Refunds will be returned using the same payment method as the original transaction. 

    However, once your subscription has been activated and items have been shipped, subscriptions are not eligible for early cancellations or refunds.

  • This question makes us sad, and it is why we have a trial option. We want to do everything within our power to make sure you have a great experience with The Adventures of Don Diggly. But unfortunately, subscriptions are not eligible for early cancellation or refunds.

    Please note: Address changes can take a little time to process. Depending on when you contact us, your next order might still ship to your old address. Be sure to notify us early to avoid any hiccups. Customers are responsible for any reshipping or replacement costs if an order is sent to the previous address.
